Transition to new scheme postponed
26 Mar
Robeco Pension Fund has decided to postpone the transition to the new pension scheme by at least six months. Until now, the transition was planned for 1 January 2026. We will use the coming period to reassess the situation and determine a realistic and responsible transition date.
The transition to the new pension system is a major process that the fund is preparing for in collaboration with various external parties, such as actuaries, consultants and the pension administrator. At present, these parties – like the entire pension sector – are under considerable pressure. More than 150 pension funds will have to make the transition in the coming years. This is causing capacity problems, which are also affecting our planning.
What does this mean for you?
Nothing will change for you at this moment.
- Are you still working? Then you will continue to accrue pension.
- Are you a former member? Your accrued pension will remain unchanged.
- Are you already receiving a pension? Then your benefits will continue as usual.
As usual, the fund will reassess at the beginning of 2026 whether there is scope for indexation (increase in the pension). If so, this will be implemented on 1 February 2026, as in other years.
What next?
We will keep you informed of developments. As soon as more information is available about the transition date, we will inform you via our website and in our communications. We remain committed to ensuring a smooth transition to the new pension system, with a focus on clarity and as much certainty as possible for all our members.
